Evostel and Khobar Municipality Collaborate to Plant 1,000 Trees in Support of Net-Zero Goals

July 24, 2025

In a powerful step toward supporting Saudi Arabia’s environmental transformation, Evostel is proud to announce its latest green initiative: the successful planting of 1,000 trees in collaboration with the Khobar Municipality’s net-zero program. This initiative builds on Evostel’s previous sustainability efforts and reflects the company’s enduring commitment to climate action and community engagement.

This urban greening project is more than symbolic—it delivers measurable environmental impact. The newly planted trees are expected to remove approximately 342.185 tons of CO₂ from the atmosphere each year, contributing significantly to national carbon reduction goals. Already, the trees have stored 10,291.55 kilograms of CO₂, establishing a long-term carbon sink that will benefit both the environment and future generations.

In addition to their role in climate mitigation, the trees are also actively improving air quality, filtering out 4,179.9 grams of pollutants annually. These benefits make a lasting difference in urban well-being and contribute to creating healthier, more livable spaces.

Beyond the numbers, this initiative is strengthening community connections. As neighborhoods experience this visible transformation, a deeper sense of shared responsibility and pride in the environment is emerging. Residents are not only witnessing change—they are becoming part of it.

At Evostel, we believe sustainability starts with action, and our collaboration with the Khobar Municipality exemplifies how businesses and communities can work together to build a greener, more resilient future for all.
